The questions buyers actually ask before they sign.
Cost, timelines, security, integrations, scope, risk, the answers we give over and over again, gathered in one place. Honest, specific and grounded in 100+ Business Central implementations.
01 Is Business Central secure?
Absolutely. Security, privacy and compliance are core to Microsoft's cloud offerings. As a global cloud leader, Microsoft spends billions each year ensuring its products are best in class for security.
Specifically for Business Central, see Microsoft's documentation on encryption, privacy, backup and security: Security overview, Business Central · Microsoft Learn ↗
02 How much does it cost?
Thanks to our unique implementation methodology, we can get you to a price very quickly. Your implementation quote will be made up of three components: a one-off implementation fee, licensing, and support.
Implementation
- Our simplest deployment is a QuickBooks / Sage 50 / Xero "Kickstart", from under £10,000.
- Add inventory or fixed assets, £10,000 - £15,000.
- Add AP automation and project accounting, £17,000 - £20,000.
- More complex projects with warehousing and advanced inventory, £20,000 - £30,000.
Licensing
Support
We price support based on the complexity of your implementation. Simple deployments fit our Bronze tier; more complex setups step up to Silver or Gold.
03 How long does it take to get started? Do I need to parallel run?
We can normally work around your desired go-live date and can get you live in as little as one month from signing up (subject to resource availability). That said, it's not normally recommended to go live so quickly, it's usually your testing of Business Central that gets squeezed.
A typical implementation timeline is 3 months from signature to go-live. That gives you enough time to be trained on the system and to test it thoroughly. The more testing you do, the more successful your go-live will be, and a well-tested system means you don't need to parallel-run on your old one.
04 Do you have integrations?
Yes. Dynamics 365 Business Central integrates with so many systems out of the box, including:
- Outlook
- Teams
- Copilot Studio
- Power BI
- Power Automate
- Dynamics 365 Sales
We'll work with you to understand your integration requirements and help you efficiently automate your business processes. If you want to integrate with in-house line-of-business software, or another SaaS product, we can normally do that too, and often include it as part of Phase 1.
05 Why don't you do scoping?
Our approach focuses on matching your business outcomes and goals with our fixed-price, fixed-scope implementation packages. It's a bit like going to your favourite restaurant: you choose what you want from a pre-defined list of menu items. Much simpler than seeing a kitchen full of ingredients, you know there's a nice meal there somewhere, but it's not your job to make it.
Our methodology matches Business Central functionality with your requirements. Got inventory? Then our inventory pack goes into the proposal. No multi-company? Then we don't include that pack. The video below explains it further.
06 If there's no scope, is there a risk you miss some of my requirements?
For a typical implementation, particularly when moving away from entry-level systems such as Sage, QuickBooks, or Xero, the risk of missing something material is extremely low. Business Central's standard functionality is a major step up, and our implementation packs are deliberately designed around the outcomes SMBs actually need: robust finance, inventory management and AP automation.
We've successfully implemented Business Central for over 100 customers. Fewer than 5% have experienced a change in requirements during delivery, and where this has happened, it has almost always been the addition of a third-party solution (e.g. banking integrations) rather than a shortfall in core capability.
If we did genuinely miss something, say, a warehouse requirement that wasn't identified, we'd simply add the relevant pack at a reduced cost. You'd still save money compared to paying upfront for formal scoping.
In our view, the bigger risk is the scope-led route. It often means paying around £5,000 for a partner to confirm what's already clear: your finance system needs replacing and Business Central's standard functionality will almost certainly meet the requirement. That £5,000 is far better invested directly into delivery, or even a Phase 2 that delivers real value.
This approach may sound confident, but it's grounded in experience. Time and again we've seen an MVP-led implementation reduce risk, accelerate time to value, and deliver a faster, more tangible return on investment.
